The Commemoration of the
75th Anniversary of Victory in Japan Day
The HPower Group was contracted by The Royal British Legion as the event delivery company for the VJ Day 75 commemorative event which took place at The National Memorial Arboretum on 15th August 2020. Attended by Their Royal Highnesses, The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and Prime Minister Boris Johnson, this was a high-profile event which was broadcast live by the BBC. Challenges included managing more than 40 veterans and carers in a Covid-19 acceptable manner. This was achieved by socially distancing all seating along with the choir and band.
The HPower Group provided all infrastructure including sound, security, health and safety, LED screens for public viewing areas and advised on event layout with adherence to Covid-19 restrictions.

Attended by The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, this event was a fitting commemoration of the 75th anniversary of VJ day, made all the more challenging as it was presented during the Covid-19 pandemic, with all the social-distance considerations required.
