The Coronation Concert of HM King Charles III
and HM The Queen Consort, Windsor

HPower Group was appointed by The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead to deliver the event management of Coronation activities in Windsor including the Coronation Festival on the Long Walk. Alongside this, HPower Group was also tasked with ensuring all 20,000 guests to their Majesties’ Coronation Concert could access and egress from The Castle Grounds.

The footprint of both events encompassed the whole of Windsor. The Festival on The Long Walk had two ‘big screens’ showing The Coronation and The Coronation Concert, a stage for community events and all welfare facilities, and had capacity for more than 10,000 attendees.

HPower managed all stewarding, all car parking and traffic management with more than 700 stewards present on the day, 200 stewards overnight, 600 temporary toilets, 20 catering units and 6km of fencing.

HPower, in conjunction with The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, held regular meetings with all stakeholders, particularly the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport, Thames Valley Police, Windsor Castle and The Royal Household, The Crown Estate and BBC Studios, among others.
